I made a fun game called Tic Tac Toe Chess
You can play it here
It’s not often that Instagram motivates me to action, but this is the exception. I came across a reel about a game: “Tic Tac Toe Chess.” The rules are pretty simple.
Each side starts with four chess pieces – A pawn, a knight, a bishop, and a rook.
In every move, you place a piece on the board OR move a piece.
The pieces move as in chess. When a pawn reaches the end, it reverses direction.
Captured pieces go back to your reserve. You can place them back again.
The game ends when you form a line of four pieces – horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
Here’s what a completed game looks like:
I wanted to play this game online, but it didn’t exist. So I vibecoded my own version with a tool called Lovable. Getting an initial version out was simple. All I had to do was describe what I wanted in detail. My friends seemed to love it, so I’ve been adding more features over the last couple of weeks.
You can play by yourself or online with a friend – create a room and share the code so they can join. Play it with your friends and let me know what you think!
